The purpose and aim of our football club is the promotion and development of football skills of team players, the encouragement of team spirit, co-operation, respect and the development of good sportsmanship, but above all, having fun.

AFC Nelson play in the Portsmouth Youth League. For the 2007/2008 season we have entered teams into the Under 10s and Under 14s divisions.

The club was formed in 2005 and had a fantastic first season of football. Each of our teams won promotion from their respective divisions. In that year, the then under 14s team were Divisional Champions and also won the Gosport Falcons Tournament.
